We are aware that many of you have had issues with your pay
for the week of January 14th. The State of Ohio had computer issues last week resulting in inaccurate
late pay files. This caused many of you to be paid an incorrect amount last week. The State has assured
us that these issues have been resolved and Independent Providers will receive their normal pay this
Thursday, as well as any amounts owed to them for last week. The Union can only issue payments to
Independent Providers from files submitted to us by the State of Ohio. This was not just an Independent
Provider issue, pay issues occurred to a wide variety of State of Ohio payee’s including employees of State of
Ohio.
For those Independent Providers who had double deductions for benefit policies for the month of January,
the amount is being refunded to you this pay January 21, 2010.
Congratulations on your decision to serve the citizens of Ohio as a home health care provider. As you know, increasing access to Home Care makes it easier for people to find the help they need to continue to live independently. We value the work that you do and are committed to helping you to help others.
